Unboxing Vanity Trove’s May 2013 Edition

My first ever beauty box! – Vanity Trove May 2013 Edition. This month’s box carries a unique theme of “Awesome Wholesome” and it’s all about being organic!

# 1 Heaven On Earth Essential Oil

“This Essential Oil is made of stream distilled Lavandula Angustfolia flowers of French origin. It helps to promote sleep, balance and tone skin, reduce anxiety and aches, soothe insect bites and provides a relaxing and soothing inner calm”

This smells really good and relaxing.  I often struggle with insomnia and this lavender oil helped me to sleep better! It claims to work on insect bites too!  I usually get mosquito bites, so double excitement for me! :D 

# 2 Pure South Goat Milk Body Lotion

“Scented with native Australian plant extracts and pure essentials, the vitamin A and D-rich lotion is effective for treating dry and distressed skin conditions. It also contains rose oil and Rosella extracts that stimulate metabolism for optimal skin cell renewal”

This is definitely one of my favorite! It has a light and non sticky texture that absorbs quickly.

# 3 Tilley Goat Milk Soap

“Creamy in texture and provide gentle cleansing on sensitive skin. These soap bars are chemical-free and enriched with skin conditioning Organic Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil and Organic Cocoa Butter”

I love the fact that this soap is chemical-free and enriched with skin conditioning ingredients. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of soap bars. This soap claims to be a goat milk based product but the funny thing is that it doesn’t smell anything like pure goat milk.

# 4 Schwarzkopf Essensity Natural Shine Serum

“This feather-light serum gives a natural velvet shine to your hair surfaces, smoothes your tresses and tames the unruliest mane around. This serum contains a combination of organic essences of Sesame and Olive oils to improve the quality of hair texture for easy maintenance”

It smells awful but works great on my unruly hair

# 5 Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water 

“Ideally produced for the care and management of sensitive skin. Its unique composition, which soothes and softens skin, has been clinically proven by over 300 stringent studies. You can never have too much of a good thing – use it as often as necessary!”

This product works brilliantly! It refreshes my skin and gives an unusual boost.  This thermal spring water’s unique and constant composition gives a soothing and softening properties for sensitive skin which makes this product a must-have for me!

Overall, I’m quite satisfied with Vanity Trove’s May edition box.  There were no sachets which is great because I have a bunch of them piling up in my drawer! Since I’m a huge fan of organic products, this box has definitely won me over!
