Can Sunglasses Cause Zits?

Sunglasses protect your peepers from the sun, and also to make you look fabulous throughout the day. However, did you know that they can actually make your skin to break out????

If you are getting pimples along your cheek and between your eyebrows, those may be from your sunglasses! Excessive usage of sunglasses causes pressure, which irritates the opening of pores and clogging occurs. Pimples usually appear when sweat and oil get trapped in your pores, leading to pimples and blackheads at the areas where the sunglasses rest on your face. The habit of adjusting your glasses will spread more bacteria to the skin as you will be constantly touching your face.

Here are some tips to reduce breakouts on your face :

      1) Clean your frames and lenses regularly with antibacterial wipes or hand sanitizer.

      2) When you are adjusting your glasses, be sure to only touch the frame and not the rest of your skin.

      3) Drink water throughout the day.

      4) Keep up with your daily skincare routine ( cleansing, moisturizing etc).
