Review : NuTeen Acne & Pimples Away Cleanser

NuTeen says :

“Specially formulated with Salicylic Acid to fight acne…provides anti bacterial properties to help soothe pimples… Gently and effectively cleanses and removes excess oil & dirt without drying, leaving skin clean and healthy.”

My verdict :

I have been using this cleanser for about a month now and I absolutely love it! It smells wonderful, something similar to Ginvera’s Green Tea series. There wasn’t much foam while washing but the cooling sensation was relaxing! The redness of my blemishes reduced after a number of washes. I only needed a small amount each wash which makes this product long lasting. Most cleansers ( for acne) tend to dry out the skin but this cleanser does the opposite! My skin was surprisingly moisturized! For the price I pay, I will definitely keep repurchasing. It only costs RM 12.90 plus it works well. Overall, NuTeen Acne & Pimples Away Cleanser did help me to battle with acne but not completely. It helped somehow but the results were moderate. However, this cleanser is a good choice if you don’t wish to spend extra money on some higher end cleanser.

Will I repurchase this? Yes.

Review : L’Oreal Paris Derma Genesis Pore Smoother Scrub

The packaging is a regular squeeze tube of 100ml. This scrub has foam like texture with red micro beads which acts as an exfoliator. This product claims to be non-comedogenic, definitely a plus point for those with acne prone skin. This scrub is gentle enough for daily use.

L’Oreal Paris says :

“With gently purifying clay and micro-beads, it deep cleans skin and gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving skin purified and residue free. With BHA and micro-beads, it naturally enhances daily cellular renewal to provide smoother, brighter and fresher skin.”

My verdict :

You only need a small amount to wash your entire face which makes this product long lasting. This clay-based scrub helps to control the oil production but it makes my skin dry. As we know, dry skin is prone to breakouts.. so, what I usually do is, I moisturize my skin right after using this scrub. Problem solved! :D However, I did not witness much improvement on my blackheads (my baking soda trick works so much better :P). It didn’t really help much in minimizing my pores. I should probably use it longer and see how it goes. I always notice a difference after using this scrub, my skin feels refreshed and softer! Overall, this product can be considered as a good scrub.

Review : Bio Oil

Got my hands on Bio Oil months back and I must say I am quite impressed with this product. This product has proven to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. It is also effective for numerous skin concerns like ageing skin and dehydrated skin. However, I purchased this product mainly for scars.

Pros :

Bio Oil absorbs quickly, leaving your skin moisturized and soft. It is effective in minimizing the appearance of both old and new scars. It has a flowery scent which is just fine for me. However this scent disappears after a couple of minutes. When applying it, only a few drops are needed which makes this product long lasting, making this product more economical regardless of its price. After using for months, my pores are now less visible. It also reduces the pimples on my face. Bio Oil does magic on my face. I absolutely love this product!

Cons :

The skin stays oily/greasy for a while after applying. It is a little expensive for me but worth buying.

Ways to apply Bio Oil :

Retail price :

RM 32.95 (60 ml)
RM 54.95 (125 ml)
RM 74.95 (200 ml)

Note : Results may vary among users.

Will I repurchase it? Yes!
